Dear brothers and sisters,
Deeply saddened by the terrible disaster that has so negatively impacted the islands of the Bahamas, by the loss of human lives and by the material damages that were caused by the Hurricane Dorian, the AMHE-Florida Chapter and the Central executive committee would like to express their deepest sympathy for the suffering and the calamity that you are presently enduring.
At this crucial moment of your existence, we want you to know that you are not alone in your suffering g and the Haitian Medical Association Abroad (AMHE) will stand by you at each step of the recovery process.
For having visited the islands and organized Health Fair there in the Past, we are well aware of the critical situation that existed well before Dorian came to disrupt your precarious livelihood .
OVER THE NEXT FEW DAYS HERE IS A LIST OF THE NEEDED ITEMS :
We will be sending water, dry foods including pasta, nuts, Canned food, Non perishable goods and hygienic items like Soap, pampers , tooth paste and tooth brush and clothes that should have a durable impact and be able to reach you as far as you can be. We will come to visit once the situation becomes more bearable and travels more accommodating.
Meanwhile, we are asking all friends and supporters to send checks TO the Florida Chapter that has been designated as the Headquarter for the Relief effort by the CENTRAL AMHE..
