Dr. Angelo Gousse, who graduated cum laude from Yale University School of Medicine, completed his residency in Urology at Baylor College of Medicine and further honed his expertise during a fellowship at UCLA. He was subsequently recruited by the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine to lead the Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Urology Program. An esteemed member of several prestigious urologic societies, Dr. Gousse has shared his knowledge as a visiting professor and guest speaker across Europe, Asia, Central America, South America, and the Caribbean.
In the wake of Haiti's devastating earthquake in 2010, Dr. Gousse became a vocal advocate for advancing urologic care at the national level in Haiti. In 2014, he organized the first-ever Haitian American Urology Conference held in person in Haiti, a pivotal event that led to Dr. Gousse being tasked with developing urology in the country. He spearheaded the creation of the Global Association for the Support of Haitian Urology (GASHU), mobilizing both Haitian and American-trained urologic academic leaders in this effort.
